Getting close up and personal, Louis likes to focus on objects like dad's face. Both dad and Louis were tried by this excercise and soon closed their eyes for a quick rest.

Louis's First Bottle and Bath

Daddy gave Louis his first bottle 6/17/09.

Louis got his first bath 6/18/09, and he didn't really seem to like it...lots of screaming. Mommy had to leave the bathroom because the screams made her sad.

Grammy Di and Grandpa Visit

Grammy Di came to stay with Nicole and Louis and help with the second week of Louis's life.

Grandpa came later in the week and was impressed with how strong Louis is already.

Louis Cheers after Doctor Visit

Louis shows everyone his excitement after his first doctor visit. Dr. Koch was very helpful in answering all his mommy's questions and said that Louis was prefect. Mom and dad aren't ones to argue with the doctor so we just agreed with him.

Louis gained 14 ounces since leaving the hospital last Saturday and grew 3/4". He now weighs 8 pounds 2 ounces and measures 21 - 1/4". Dr. Koch says it's now OK to let him sleep during the night and wake up naturally, giving his mom and dad a chance get some extra sleep.

Burrito Man

As the new Chipotle mascot, Louis has become independently wealthy and can now fund his own college education. In all seriousness, Louis loves to be swaddled....good thing daddy is a pro!

Louis going home!

Louis had his first trip home around noon on Sat. June 6th. Dad went nice and slow and Louis slept most of the way home. He seems to like his new surroundings and mom and dad love having him around!

Louis Andre Duppong

Nicole and I are proud to introduce Louis Andre Duppong, who entered the world at 5:53 pm on 6/4/2009.

He weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

Mom and Louis are doing very well and we're all spending time getting to know each other.
